The American Counseling Association is the largest professional membership organization for counselors in the world. With a membership of over 55,000, ACA serves counselors working in diverse settings and across specialties. ACA is dedicated to strengthening professional identity and unity within the counseling profession, promoting clarity within the public about the counseling profession, and advocating for legislation serving the interests of counselors and their clients. ACA also supports the professional development of counseling students and promotes research in counseling. These goals are grounded in ACA’s mission to promote respect for human dignity and diversity.
