Green Campus is then understood as the model through which higher education institutions develop infrastructures able to make the interaction between environment and university dwellers live together in a sustainable way. As “micro-cities,” those campuses should be administered like communities, including their users and employees participation, aiming at education on environment preservation. This concept includes the dimensions of consciousness and education toward sustainability, clean energies, energy efficiency, water efficiency, waste management, and sustainable transports in campus.
