Abstract

This entry provides a description of international reports that place an emphasis on the role of educational technologies and global policies. First, this entry provides some background to the conditions that led to the development of international reports on education. This is followed by a brief discussion of the rationale, beliefs, and motivations of the actors that led to their creation. Second, an analysis of the recent move toward the digitalization of international reports is offered. Finally, a summary of the effects and implications of international reports, as well as the current state of the field and possible directions, is given.
