Synonym: Ecotone
An ecological transition zone is a special eco-space between two or more communities or between ecosystems. It often has the eco-characteristics of the adjacent areas, and the biodiversity and landscape diversity are relatively high. These zones are also known as ecological transition zones, eco-interlaced zones or community interlaced zones.
