This park is located in Dexing City, Jiangxi Province, and covers an area of 11 km2. It became a national mining park in 2010. The combination of the size, mineral reserves and metallogenic models of copper and gold polymetallic ore belts in the Dexing ultra-large porphyry copper deposits are representative of gold and copper mines in the region. The mining park is representative of the intracontinental anatectic porphyry gold-copper deposits around the world. Many rare mining features can be found in the park, such as the historical records indicating copper hydro-metallurgical technologies that were invented in the eleventh century and were applied to large-scale production. Other features include a large and ultra-large polymetallic copper-gold deposits within an area of approximately 200 km2, and the gold-silver-copper mining sites that have been exploited for a millennium.
