This park is located in the Ranghulu and Sartu Districts, Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province. It covers an area of 249 km2 and became a national mining park in May 2010. The main park contains 22 geosites and five heritage sites, including the Songji Oil Well Number 3 in the Honggang District, Datong District and Zhaozhou County in Daqing. The Daqing Discovery Well (Songji Oil Well Number 3), the Daqing Oil Field Historical Museum, the Sa No. 55 Oil Well (Iron Man First Oil Well), Iron Man Wang Jinxi Memorial, Daqing Petroleum Science and Technology Museum and other mining features are all well preserved and show the development of oil fields in China over time as well as the Daqing Spirit and Iron Man Spirit of science, technology, historical records, production tools, machinery and culture.
