This park is located east of Chenzhou City, Hunan Province, and has an area of 86 km2 with a core scenic area of 47 km2. It became a national mining park in 2010. The park has five major types of mining heritage: mining geology, mining production, mining products and remains, mining society and life and mining development literature, such as historical records. The mining park contains four rare mining heritage sites and ten important mining heritage sites.
