Zesheng Yin (1937–) is a researcher at the Institute of Geographic Sciences and Natural Resources Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He once served as chief planner of the Tourism Centre of the Chinese Institute of Urban Scientific Planning and Design, deputy director of the Geographical Specialised Committee of the Geographical Society of China, member of the National Tourism Technical Committee, and executive director of the Beijing Tourism Institute. From the 1960s to the 1980s, he worked on regional geomorphology, landform mapping, Quaternary paleogeography and historical environmental change. He participated in the drafting of tourism industry standards and national standards, such as the National Tourism Resources Survey Standards (1993), Tourism Areas (Sites) Quality Rating and Assessment (1999), and Tourism Resource Classification Survey and Evaluation (2003). He has been the chief editor of various tourism resources research monographs and large-scale tourism albums.
