Synonym: Time lag

The Earth’s rotation causes day and night to occur at different times at different locations on Earth. Therefore, sunrise and sunset occur at different times in different countries, and this phenomenon is called a time difference. During international travel, the time difference, or time lag, can affect the biological clock of the human body. Travellers need to know the time difference between their departure and destination cities to better adjust and adapt to the time changes and differences.
