Stratigraphic Tourism Landscape

This is a landscape in strata with tourism and scientific research value. The Earth’s strata generally refer to rock layers and deposited materials, including sedimentary, volcanic and metamorphic rocks, that formed between the Archaean and the Cenozoic, and they are the basis for studying the Earth’s history. These strata have recorded the geological events associated with the evolution of the Earth in various regions, such as the palaeoclimate, palaeoenvironment, palaeo-geomorphology, palaeontology, palaeo-seismic activities, palaeo-hydrology, tectonic movements, palaeomagnetism, and ore-forming processes. The main stratigraphic tourism landscapes are the stratotype GSSPs (Golden Spikes) with globally significant international boundaries, stratigraphic sections with standard national significance, stratigraphic sections with standard regional significance and magmatic and metamorphic stratigraphic sections.
