A stone waterfall is a depositional feature of calcium carbonate. It gets its name from its appearance which looks like a waterfall. It is a type of wall flowstone. When wall cracks extend and become larger, water seepage increases, forming magnificent stone waterfalls on the steep wall. An entire cave wall covered with white calcium carbonate looks like a hanging waterfall. The stone waterfall in Luotian in Yangshou, Guilin, is 130 m wide and 32 m high. It and the stone waterfall in the Biyun Cave in Fuyang, Zhejiang Province, constitute magnificent landscapes.
