This geopark is located in the San’in area of Japan and has an area of 87 km2. It became a global geopark in 2010. The geopark is centred on the San’in Coast National Park. The ancient Japanese archipelago is part of the Asian continent, and visitors can observe ancient and modern coastal history. The magnificent natural scenery and beautiful coastline are also great attractions. Other attractions include Tango Shaqiu, the Bintuo Coast, Xuanwudong Park, the Danmao Coast, and the Tottori Sand Dunes and Hot Springs.
