Qingzhou National Geopark is located in Qingzhou City, Shandong Province, and covers an area of 70 km2. It became a national geopark in 2009. Its main geological features include karst landscapes, stratigraphy and structures. Numerous karst landforms are present, including collapse basins and dissolution basins, daigu, stone forests, mountains, collapse cliffs, dry valleys, arches, sinkholes and dolines. The park contains more than 100 karst caves; the most representative are Heilong Cave, Simen Cave and Gaoming Cave. It also contains a typical Cambrian-Ordovician section that includes the Yeli Formation and Liangjiashan Formation, a section of the Quaternary Heituhu Formation section, a parallel unconformity between the Sanshanzi Formation and Majiagou Formation, the Neoarchean Mengshan petrographic suite of the Fuping cycle, rock masses of the Dongjingtai thrust and the Cambrian fault contact.
