The natural environment and its components have many similar properties and structures and can be grouped into different geographical systems with certain hierarchical relationships. Natural zoning includes comprehensive natural zoning and departmental natural zoning. Natural zoning includes the relative consistency within a zoning unit and the differences between the units as well as the hierarchical affiliations of different natural areas. Based on this concept, tourism zoning can be performed, and the locations of geoparks can be determined.
