This geopark is located in northwestern Mianzhu, Sichuan Province. The park covers an area of 26.6 km2, and the major geological features are concentrated in an area of 5.95 km2. It became a national geopark in 2011. The geopark contains earthquake features and recovery projects. It has several landforms created by the magnitude 8 Wenchuan earthquake and the associated secondary disasters. The geopark is rich in features such as landslides, collapses, earthquake surface ruptures, mudflows, landslide dams, collapsed buildings, buildings damaged by rockfalls and mudflows, restoration projects, rescue and disaster relief projects, post-disaster reconstruction and disaster prevention measures.
