These are lakes that form in depressions or funnels in karst regions. They are generally small, but coupled with the unique karst geomorphic landscape, they have prominent tourism value. Examples are the Sword Pool in the Stone Forest, Yunnan, and the Grass Sea (Caohai) in Guizhou Province.
