This park is located in the Yellow River Gorge in Jianzha County, Qinghai Province. It became a national geopark in 2004. The main geological heritage features include red sandstone landscapes, Cenozoic stratigraphy, erosion terraces and gorges along the Yellow River, dams, Lijiaxia landslide relics, and Shenbaoshan glacial landform relics.
