FormalPara BeschreibungIn praxi sind die Enzymaktivitäten so niedrig, dass die Angaben in μkat (10−6 kat), nkat (10−9 kat) oder pkat (10−12 kat) erfolgen. Katal ist die SI-kohärente Maßeinheit für Enzymaktivitätsangaben.
Umrechnung: Katal in internationale Enzymeinheit (U) (μmol/min):
U = kat × 60 × 106
U = μkat × 60
U = nkat × 60 × 10−3
