Zusammenfassung

Herzversagen ist bei Patienten über 65 Jahren häufig die Indikation für eine Krankenhausaufnahme. Die Herzinsuffizienz ist neben der hochgradigen Aortenstenose und deutlich vor der KHK der wichtigste Risikofaktor für die Morbidität und Letalität bei nichtkardiochirurgischen Operationen und die perioperative 30-Tages-Letalität von Patienten mit Herzinsuffizienz nach großen, nichtkardiochirurgischen Eingriffen ist etwa doppelt so hoch wie bei Patienten ohne Herzinsuffizienz. Das anästhesiologische Management orientiert sich am Schweregrad und Pathomechanismus der Herzinsuffizienz und wird in diesem Kapitel vorgestellt.
