Zusammenfassung

Die Behandlung von Lungenmetastasen stellt eine interdisziplinäre Herausforderung dar. Für Lungenmetastasen der meisten Primärtumoren ist eine Therapie mit kurativer Intention nur durch eine chirurgische Resektion oder eine ablative nicht-operative Lokaltherapie möglich. Insbesondere durch die sich rasant entwickelnden Möglichkeiten der systemischen Therapieoptionen ändern sich die Voraussetzungen für die Indikationsstellung zur pulmonalen Metastasektomie in sehr kurzen Zeiträumen. Dieser Umstand führt neben ethischen Überlegungen dazu, dass die Generierung belastbarer Daten zur optimalen Behandlung von Lungenmetastasen kaum über randomisierte Studien abgebildet werden kann und die pulmonale Metastasektomie aus konzeptioneller Sicht auch perspektivisch kaum durch Daten hoher Evidenz validiert sein wird.
