Zusammenfassung
Bei etwa 50 % der Diabetiker besteht nach 25 Jahren Diabetesdauer eine symptomatische periphere Neuropathie; die Diabetesgenese besitzt keinen Einfluss, wohl aber besteht eine enge Abhängigkeit von Alter, Diabetesdauer und Qualität der Einstellung.
