Abstract
The electronics industry is one of the largest industrial sectors globally, and it is expanding and becoming more complex as technology invades every aspect of our lives. The electronics industry employs millions of workers worldwide in an intricate supply chain that feeds the growing industry. It is diverse in nature and involves wafer and printed circuit board fabrication and assembly of wafers, boards, and final products. There are many cutaneous hazards in this industry, such as chemical irritants and allergens, metals, fiberglass, and low environmental humidity. However, the high degree of automation in various processes reduces the overall risk of developing occupational skin diseases among electronics workers. Despite the lower risk, the vast size of the electronics workforce may contribute to large numbers of workers with occupational dermatoses.
