Definition
Managerial innovation may be defined as the adoption of management, organizational and operational methods, and modes that are new to an organization and that aim to improve organizational performance.
Introduction
In the context of today’s increasingly complex and constrained financial and budgetary environment, innovation is the primary means for improving the effectiveness and efficiency of public policies and, more generally, of the quality of public services (Favoreu et al. 2015).
