Abstract

The ability of oligonucleotides to bind double-stranded DNA in a sequence specific manner, forming a DNA triple helix structure, has led to a number of novel approaches in the study of various structural and functional properties of DNA in vitro and in vivo including transcription inhibition (13), site-directed mutagenesis (4) and detection of DNA polymorphism (5).
