Abstract
Recent advances in molecular cloning and gene-expression techniques have led to the identification and characterization of many G protein-coupled receptors, including new subtypes and sub-subtypes of previously identified receptors. With the dramatic increase in the number of these receptors, the technique of in situ hybridization (ISH) has become an essential addition to the tools available for receptor research.
