Abstract
Spectrometry is one of the methods used to check the purity of purified virus preparation. In this method, optical density value of purified virus preparation at 260 and 280 nm and absorption spectra from 245 to 300 nm is determined using a spectrometer. The UV spectra and A 260/280 ratio provide information on the purity of the virus preparation. A 260 nm value can be used to estimate the yield of purified virus.
