The main concept of test for sterility is based on the fact that if microbes are inoculated in a clear medium which supports their growth (i.e., optimum temperature, pH, nutrition, and water), the presence of microbes can be detected by change in turbidity of medium, provided that the test is performed in uncontaminated conditions. The interpretation of test is based on the fact that each container in a batch is the same.
