Energy Systems - Call for Papers for Special Issue on Selected Papers from REST-24

Energy Systems is currently seeking submissions to a forthcoming Special Issue dedicated to Selected Papers from the International Conference on Renewable Energies and Smart Technologies (REST-24)

Electricity is an essential component in facilitating the day-to-day activities of human beings and supporting the further development of the global economy. Intensification of the Renewable Energy Sources (RES) plays an essential role in that aspect and the decarbonization of the economy. Under the climate change pressure and increasing world population, many countries and entities are investing intensively in developing RES, where considerable investment is being made to construct new solar and wind power farms and hydropower plants. However, the development of the RES on many occasions is made at the expense of some environmental and social impacts. Therefore, considering the Sustainable Development Goals adopted by all United Nations Member States, RES must be developed sustainably and efficiently. The International Conference on Renewable Energies and Smart Technologies (REST-24) is dedicated to advancing and disseminating knowledge on methods, policies, and technologies to support the sustainable development of the energy sector.
This conference aims to bring researchers, engineers, and key stakeholders interested in cutting-edge findings in REST to share and discuss advances and developments in these fields. Therefore, it aims to assist business executives, researchers, scientists, companies, communities, and agencies in keeping current on new developments and joining forces in finding alternative energy solutions to current environmental and climate issues. The 2nd International Conference on Renewable Energies and Smart Technologies (REST) will be held on 27-28 June 2024, University of Prishtina, Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Prishtina, Kosovo.

Following the venue, in collaboration with the Energy Systems journal, up to 30 high-quality papers from the conference will be invited to submit follow-up articles extending the presented research in this dedicated Special Issue. This opportunity is also advertised on the conference website: https://ic-rest.com (this opens in a new tab).
