Cardiovascular Toxicology - New EiC Annoucement
We are delighted to announce that Dr. Daniel J. Conklin will take over the role of Editor-in-Chief (EiC) of Cardiovascular Toxicology (CATO), starting from April 2023.
Dan received his PhD in Cardiovascular Physiology from University of Notre Dame, Notre Dame, IN, and NIEHS T32 Postdoctoral training in Cardiovascular Toxicology with Dr. Paul Boor at the University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston, TX. He is now a Professor of Medicine and co-Director of Training Core in the Superfund Research Center at the University of Louisville, Louisville, KY. Dan has rich editorship experience -- he has been serving as an Editorial Board Member for multiple journals such as Cardiovascular Research and Toxics. He is currently an Associate Editor for Toxicology and Applied Pharmacology since 2012 and for Frontiers in Vascular Physiology since 2022. His connection with CATO started in 2012 when he was an Associate Editor. He worked closely with the previous EiC, Dr. James Kang, when Dr. Kang was at the University of Louisville. He is proud to continue the strong tie between cardiovascular toxicology and the University of Louisville by keeping the EiC of CATO in Louisville! Recently, Drs. Kang and Conklin met in Nashville, TN at the Society of Toxicology meeting to discuss the change in leadership of CATO.
With Dan’s onboarding, I’m confident we’ll start another excellent chapter for CATO. Please join us in welcoming Dan as the new EiC. We'd like to thank Dr. James Kang for his excellent leadership to the journal which will not gain today's achievement without him.
