Aims and scope

Journal of Crop Health (formerly Gesunde Pflanzen) is an international, scientific journal that publishes original research articles, review articles, short reviews (mini reviews) and short/brief communications in English and German. The journal covers all applied aspects of abiotic plant stress as well as plant diseases, pests and weeds and in addition, all issues of plant protection (incl. preventive and cultural measures as well as biological, physical and chemical control) and their impact on biodiversity and the environment. We do not publish basic physiological and biochemical research without any applied aspects of crop health and, we do not publish Disease Notes containing first detection of pathogens and pests, unless it concerns the European region.

Journal of Crop Health (früher Gesunde Pflanzen) ist eine internationale wissenschaftliche Zeitschrift, die originäre Forschungsarbeiten, Review Artikel und Minireviews in englischer und deutscher Sprache publiziert. Die Zeitschrift deckt alle angewandten Themen über abiotischen Pflanzenstress sowie über Pflanzenkrankheiten, Schädlinge und Unkräuter ab, darüber hinaus auch alle Bereiche des Pflanzenschutzes (inkl. vorbeugende Maßnahmen sowie biologischen, physikalischen und chemischen Pflanzenschutz) und dessen Einfluss auf die Biodiversität und die Umwelt. Wir publizieren keine Arbeiten über biochemische und physiologische Grundlagenforschung ohne einen erkennbaren Zusammenhang zu angewandten Themen der Pflanzengesundheit. Außerdem publizieren wir keine „Disease Notes“, d. h. Arbeiten zum Erstauftreten eines Pathogens oder Schädlings, es sei denn es betrifft Europa.
