Environmental Chemistry Letters

Environmental Chemistry Letters covers the interfaces of geology, chemistry, physics and biology. Articles published here are of high importance to the study of natural and engineered environments.
The journal publishes original and review articles of outstanding significance on such topics as the characterization of natural and affected environments; behavior, prevention, treatment and control of mineral, organic and radioactive pollutants; interfacial studies involving media such as soil, sediment, water, air, organism, and food; green chemistry, environmentally friendly synthetic pathways, and alternative fuels; ecotoxicology and risk assessment; environmental processes and modelling; environmental technologies, remediation and control; environmental analytical chemistry, biomolecular tools and tracers.
ULTRAFAST PUBLICATION FOR OUTSTANDING ARTICLES
A new reviewing procedure has been set up for 5 outstanding articles per year to allow online publication in less than 40 days after submission. Such articles should clearly show a very high novelty or controversy versus current knowledge. Authors wishing to submit an oustanding article should proceed in two following steps:
1) Submit your manuscript via Editorial Manager (See: Submit Online in the right menu)
2) Send an e-mail message with "Outstanding article" as subject and the article abstract in the main text to Dr. Eric Lichtfouse (Eric.Lichtfouse@dijon.inra.fr).
Selected articles will be reviewed within 20 days. Non-selected articles will be reviewed using the regular procedure. Articles that do not follow strict instructions for authors will be declined.
NOTE on Instructions for Authors: The total length of Original Articles, including figures, tables and references should not exceed 3000 words (10 pages). The number of tables plus figures is limited to 4. More information: See Instructions for Authors in the right menu.
