Abstract
An amorphous film of a condensate with large excess energy, configuration entropy, and free volume was prepared from the gas phase on a cold substrate at helium temperatures in the form of vacancies and their aggregates. The temperature dependence of the decomposition of this metastable state at various process stages was studied. The medium is active, because an important role in it is played by self-action effects, in particular, during sintering under vibration conditions. Structure-sensitive local sample probing by laser initiation of a photochemical reaction was used. The occurrence of this reaction can be used to draw conclusions about metastable medium activity.
