Abstract

This chapter now moves discussion to the area that IPE has long considered of central importance: international portfolio capital. A number of different international investor types are considered, following the analytical framework of domestic investors in previous chapters: individual investors, institutional index-following investors (pension funds and most mutual funds), international total return investors (hedge funds) and international investment banks.
