Abstract
To control tumor growth and recurrence, radiation therapies are suggested as alternatives for patients with craniopharyngiomas who could not tolerate surgery. Radiation therapy may delay or prevent recurrence; however, the side effects of radiotherapy were underestimated. This section presents a review of literature on radiological treatment of craniopharyngiomas. We discuss the issue of radiotherapy, their efficacy, and prognosis according to complications and quality of life. Based on pathology and QST classification, we aim to explain the difficulties of reoperation after radiotherapy.
