Abstract
When students enter classrooms for the first time, they are full of questions: “What will I learn here? What is this teacher like?Who are these people in the desks next to me?” Since students are especially curious about each other at the beginning of the school year, the first days of school offer an important opportunity to establish a sense of community and identity in the classroom.
