Abstract

In the two preceding chapters we considered examples of static autosolitons in active media for which ε = l/L ≪ 1 that is, the characteristic length scale of activator l is much less than the characteristic length scale of inhibitor L. Recall that by activator and inhibitor we mean certain parameters of the system or their combinations.
