Abstract
The energy transported by radiowaves is known to be very small as compared to that in the other parts of the electromagnetic spectrum, especially the visible light, UV and X-rays. However the emission of radio bursts accompanying solar activity is a very important phenomenon for the solar physicist. The main reason is that the radiowaves are generally emitted by energetic electrons, which can not be studied by many other means. Moreover, these bursts are often emitted high in the corona, where no other possibility exists up to now to detect solar activity.
