Contemporary Philosophical Alternatives and the Crisis of Truth

Abstract

From the historical character of philosophy in the above sense, the existential nature of philosophy clearly outlines itself. This existential aspect must not be confused with the existentialism of the existential alternative for coping with the crisis of truth, as we have previously discussed it. It is not based on the methodological constitution of the phenomenon of human existence or on the theoretical conception of the dialectical relation of this phenomenon with the transcendent. But the existential nature of philosophy is actually experienced in the permanent crisis of human truth in general and thus of philosophy as the discipline which seeks to formulate this truth in a general manner.
