Il Color Doppler è un metodo di costruzione di immagini fondato sull’effetto Doppler, mediante il quale è possibile ottenere una rappresentazione bidimensionale del campo della velocità dei riflettori (globuli rossi) che fluiscono nei vasi sanguigni, il cui movimento è rappresentato per mezzo del colore (figura 7.2). Sono evidenti le analogie con la rappresentazione B-Mode Real-Time che è invece un metodo di costruzione di immagini per mezzo della scala di grigi.
