Zusammenfassung

Durch die stetig steigenden Schulterprothesenimplantationen pro Jahr sind auch die Zahlen an Komplikationen und Revisionseingriffen nach einer endoprothetischen Versorgung der Schulter gestiegen. Komplikationsraten nach einer anatomischen Schulterprothese werden in der Literatur mit 10 %, nach einer inversen Prothese mit 4,8–68 % angegeben. Unterteilt man die Revisionsart nach der Lokalisation, so ist man meist mit rein glenoidalen oder humeralen Revisionen konfrontiert und seltener mit einer Kombination aus beidem. Durch die Weiterentwicklung des humeralen Komponentendesigns hin zu modularen Schaftsystemen hat sich die Revisionsmöglichkeit der Prothesen deutlich vereinfacht. Es stehen zementierte und zementfreie Langschaftsysteme zur Verfügung, mit denen knöcherne Defekte auf humeraler Seite überbrückt werden können. Die glenoidale Komponente hat sich hingegen bezüglich der Revisionsmöglichkeiten der Systeme nur sehr langsam weiterentwickelt.
