Abstract
Whole-body computed tomography (CT) is a well established method for detection of tumors, pathological lymph nodes and metastases (Carvalho et al. 1991; Steinkamp et al. 1991). To achieve a high accuracy, optimal contrast enhancement of vessels and abdominal organs in required. New technical developments in computed tomography now enable considerable volume reduction of the applied contrast medium.
