Abstract
Over the past decade the quality of ultrasound apparatus has improved rapidly so that the technique of ultrasound has become accepted as an useful imaging method for evaluating the pancreas. Since the examination is inexpensive, noninvasive, and rapidly performed it is often the first test done in the evaluation of suspected pancreatic disease.
