Population Growth and Structural Change

Abstract

Data in this chapter are prepared by the Department of Population and Employment Statistics of the National Bureau of Statistics. In Table 1.1 figures for the years of 2000 and 2010 are the census year estimates; and the rest of the figures covered in those tables are estimates from the annual national sample survey on population changes and data for selected years have been revised according to the census results. In Table 1.2 data are estimates from the national sample survey on population changes. In Table 1.3 data are calculated by using the results of the 2000 and 2010 censuses.
