Abstract

It may be as old as mankind, but enuresis is still a topical issue. Aristotle may already have recorded the fact that children lose urine during sleep, in the era of robots and the demystification of all our taboos, man’s offspring still loses urine during the night... to the great dismay of his/her parents and those who are supposed to offer a solution, and notably doctors. We will focus our attention on bedwetting during the night ... and sometimes during napping. The term “primary enuresis” refers to cases where the disorder develops without the slightest stage of continence. Secondary enuresis, on the other hand, is referred to when there is a period of several months of being “dry”. In this case, it is important to look for an affective or social factor which might have triggered the situation.
