In this brief chapter we shall consider some simple elements of low-frequency transmission lines, and a prolegomenon to the considerations, in the following chapter, of waveguides. Following the preceding chapter, we will here, and in most of the following chapters, assume harmonic time dependence through the implicit factor e–iωt.
