Abstract
Numerical simulation has long been recognised has an essential tool to study the complex nature of plasma physics. For those who are involved in this field it is essential to identify the pioneering work of some contributors. The purpose of this short paper is to recall the early contributions by Marc Feix to numerical plasma simulation and also to more general problems in other areas of mathematical physics.
