Abstract
Curriculum developers and teachers have long debated the best way to present mathematics to learners, and have engaged in an ongoing math war for decades. Traditional educators believe students should learn the algorithms and concepts created by mathematicians while progressivists prefer students explore, discover, and understand the meaning behind the rules.
