Ergonomics considerations for the conceptualization of the shape of body supports

Abstract

This paper presents a methodology to incorporate ergonomics data and requirements of the pressure distribution between a person and a product into computer supported conceptual shape design. The methodology is applied to a flat sitting surface. Theoretical fundamentals for the algorithms are presented.
