Abstract
This paper presents “a review of Nonlinear Model-Algorithmic Control (MAC), and introduces a new generalized formulation, which incorporates nonminimum-phase compensation. In addition, new nonlinear multirate Model-Algorithmic Control methods are developed. The handling of input constraints within a MAC framework is also discussed. Several chemical engineering examples illustrate the methods throughout the paper.
