Abstract

An effective method to process the complex rare earth titanoniobates is their chlorination with chlorine gas in presence of the carbon reductant.

The chlorination methods offer good opportunities for recovery of rare metals from secondary raw materials.

Solid-state methods for processing concentrates of zirconium and rare-earth metals offer a more rational use of mineral resources.
